The AI Enigma: Tim Cook’s Vagueness on Apple’s Monetization Plan Has Me Skeptical

Apple just dropped a whopping $143.8 billion in revenue in their latest quarterly earnings report, crushing expectations with a 16% year-over-year boost. But amidst the excitement, a crucial question went unaddressed: how does Apple plan to make money off their AI investments?

During a recent earnings call, Morgan Stanley’s Erik Woodring bravely asked the million-dollar question: what’s the plan to monetize Apple’s AI? And, well, I’ve got a response for you – it’s a beautiful, vague, “intelligent” jargon-filled answer that says precisely nothing.

I’m not buying it. I want to believe that Cook and his team are cooking up something revolutionary. But from the outside, it looks like they’re just rehashing the same old talk about “personalizing our experiences”. We’ve heard it before, and we’re still waiting for the proof.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT is making waves, but their CEO Sam Altman says they won’t start making a dime until 2030. Yeah, thanks for the timeline, Sam. I’m not holding my breath.

I’m eager to see some concrete proof of how tech giants like Apple plan to make AI a cash cow. But until then, we’ll just have to wait and see if the company can deliver on its lofty promises.

I’ve been following the tech world for a while now, and it’s frustrating to see companies like Apple gloss over the details when it comes to their AI strategies. It’s like they’re trying to distract us from the real questions with buzzwords and vague promises.

I’m not the only one who feels this way. The article from TechCrunch I linked to below raises some great points about Apple’s AI strategy. Check it out and let me know what you think – do you believe Apple can deliver on their AI promises, or are they just blowing hot air?
