**Revolutionizing Education: How Sparkli is Making Learning Fun and Interactive**

As a parent, have you ever found yourself stuck when your kid asks a question that leaves you scratching your head? You know, the ones that come out of nowhere and leave you wondering how you can possibly explain it? “How do cars work?” or “How does rain form?” Yeah, those ones.

Well, three former Google employees, Lax Poojary, Lucie Marchand, and Myn Kang, all parents themselves, have been in your shoes. And they wanted to create a solution. The result is Sparkli, an innovative AI-powered learning app that’s about to change the way kids learn.

The trio drew inspiration from their own experiences as parents, asking themselves how they could create an interactive experience that would captivate young minds. “We realized that when a child asks what Mars looked like 50 years ago, we’d just show them an image. Ten years ago, we’d show them a video. But with Sparkli, we want children to interact and experience what Mars is like,” Poojary explained.

So, what is Sparkli? In a nutshell, it’s an AI-powered learning “expedition” that lets users discover predefined subjects or ask their own questions to create a personalized path. And the magic happens when the app generates media assets on the fly using generative AI. This means that Sparkli can create a learning experience in just two minutes after a user asks a question, with the team working to reduce that time even further.

To ensure the app’s content is both engaging and effective, Sparkli’s founders hired a PhD holder in instructional science and a teacher as their first two employees. “We knew that to create a successful product, we had to put the principles of pedagogy at the forefront,” Poojary said.

Of course, safety is a top concern when it comes to kids using AI tools. Sparkli has implemented measures to prevent access to inappropriate content, and when a child asks about sensitive topics like self-harm, the app redirects them to resources on emotional intelligence and encourages them to talk to a parent.

The startup has already piloted its app with an institute that serves over 100,000 students, with initial results showing promise. Teachers are using the app to create expeditions that engage kids and track their progress. And with $5 million in pre-seed funding from Swiss venture capital firm Founderful, the team is poised to make a significant impact in the edtech space.

“We believe that Sparkli has the potential to make learning more immersive and fun for kids, and we’re excited to be a part of their journey,” said Founderful’s founding partner, Lukas Wender.

As a father of two, Wender knows firsthand how difficult it can be to keep kids engaged in learning. He sees Sparkli as a platform that can encourage kids to explore beyond video games and develop a love for learning.

Sparkli’s innovative approach to education is just what the world needs. With its AI-powered interactive app, the startup is poised to revolutionize the way kids learn and make education more enjoyable and effective. And who knows, maybe one day, your kids will be the ones teaching you something new.
