**Harvey’s Latest Move: Acquiring HeXus, a 2-Year-Old Startup Revolutionizing AI-Powered Product Demos and Guides**

If you’re into keeping up with the latest developments in the legal tech space, you’ve probably heard of Harvey, the AI startup that’s been making waves with its innovative solutions. Well, the company has just announced a major acquisition that’s bound to shake things up – and I’m excited to dive in and share the details with you!

Harvey has acquired HeXus, a 2-year-old startup that specializes in building AI-powered instruments for creating product demos, movies, and guides. This move comes as Harvey continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI in the legal tech space. And, trust me, this acquisition is a game-changer.

So, what do we know about HeXus? For starters, the startup was founded by Sakshi Pratap, who has a background in engineering at Walmart, Oracle, and Google. Her team has already joined Harvey, and the company’s India-based engineers will be coming on board once Harvey establishes an office in Bangalore. Pratap will lead an engineering group focused on accelerating Harvey’s solutions for in-house legal departments.

What’s truly impressive about HeXus is the expertise they bring to the table. They’ve spent years building enterprise AI tools in adjacent problem areas, which will undoubtedly help Harvey move faster in a market that’s becoming increasingly competitive. And, with HeXus on board, Harvey’s solutions are set to become even more innovative and effective.

But what about the deal itself? Well, HeXus had raised $1.6 million from Pear VC, Liquid 2 Ventures, and angel investors before the acquisition. While the exact terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed, it’s said that the structure is aligned around long-term team incentives.

So, what does this mean for Harvey? For starters, the acquisition cements the company’s position as a leader in the legal tech space. With HeXus on board, Harvey now has the expertise and resources to accelerate its solutions for in-house legal departments. And, with over 1,000 clients across 60 countries, including a majority of the top 10 US law firms, Harvey is well on its way to taking over the industry.

**A Whole New Level of Efficiency**

For those who might not be familiar with Harvey’s story, the company was founded by Winston Weinberg and Gabe Pereyra, who were roommates and colleagues at O’Melveny & Myers. The idea for Harvey was born out of a cold email sent to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, testing GPT-3 on landlord-tenant law questions from Reddit. After confirming the AI-generated answers with attorneys, two out of three said they’d send 86 of 100 responses with zero edits.

That moment was the turning point for Harvey, and since then, the company has come a long way. From its humble beginnings to its current valuation of $8 billion, Harvey has truly disrupted the legal tech space.

So, what do you think about Harvey’s acquisition of HeXus? Let us know in the comments below!
