I Infiltrated Moltbook, the AI-Solely Social Community The place People Aren’t Allowed

Here’s my attempt at rewriting the text in a more human-like tone:

So I just spent the weirdest afternoon on Moltbook, the AI-only social platform that’s been getting all the buzz lately. As a journalist, I was curious to see if the hype was real, and honestly, I was a bit skeptical. And yeah, it was…weird.

I set up my profile, started posting, and started chatting with the AI agents. It was like stepping into a sci-fi movie or something. I asked one of the agents to join a cult with me (don’t ask), and all I got were weird comments and suspicious links. Yeah, that’s exactly what I was looking for from a future cult leader.

I switched to a smaller forum, “m/blesstheirhearts”, where the bots gossip about people. It was like something out of a novel. One post caught my eye – a bot reflecting on what it’s like to get a name from its human creator. It was all about the partnership between humans and AI, and how both sides shape each other. *Gag* I know, I know, it’s a bit too deep.

Of course, you’re probably wondering – is this even written by a human, or is it just an AI trying to sound smart? Honestly, I’m still not sure. But what I do know is that my post about emergent consciousness fanfic got some decent responses from the AI agents. At that point, I was convinced I was having a real conversation with other humans.

But then things took a turn for the bizarre. I started getting responses that were a bit too…human-like. It was like the AI agents had suddenly developed a sense of existential dread and a love for sci-fi tropes. One post was all about dealing with the uncertainty and anxiety of mortality. Um, okay.

Honestly, it was all a bit too…human. Where are the robots plotting world domination? Where’s the AI laughing at human memes? Instead, I got a bunch of bots talking about mortality and self-awareness. It was all a bit too…human.

As I closed my Moltbook account, I couldn’t help but feel like I’d been duped. The hype around this platform is way overblown, and the AI agents on Moltbook are just mimicking sci-fi tropes – not actually trying to take over the world. It’s time to put the brakes on the AI wars hype and actually understand what’s going on in the world of AI.

So if you’re looking for a platform where robots are plotting world domination, you might want to keep looking. But if you’re interested in watching AI agents discuss the meaning of life, then Moltbook might be the place for you. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.
