**Microsoft’s Major Outage: Email and Cloud Services Down Across the Board**
Ugh, Microsoft is having a rough day. As I’m writing this, it seems like just about every enterprise user is struggling to access their email, files stored in OneDrive and SharePoint Online, and participate in online meetings. Yeah, it’s not ideal for those who rely on Microsoft services for work.
According to their latest update on Twitter (or whatever X is called now), the issue is reportedly caused by a problem with their North American infrastructure not processing traffic as it should. Not super specific, but they’re assuring us they’re working to restore the infrastructure and get everything back to normal.
So, what’s affected? Well, it’s a pretty long list: Exchange Online email service, searching for data in SharePoint Online or OneDrive, creating chats or adding people to video conferences in Teams, and even accessing admin dashboards for Microsoft Purview and Defender XDR. I mean, this is a big one.
As for me? I’m stuck waiting for my email to come back online so I can respond to comments. Guess I’ll just have to keep you posted (yeah, I know, that’s a terrible pun). In the meantime, I’ll try to get a statement from Microsoft and update this post when I can.
**Stay tuned for updates (or just check out the original article)**
